Whilst the town is fast growing with many amenities - see links below - there is no need to restrict your social life to the local area; for example, Manchester, Liverpool, and Chester are all within easy reach by road and rail. Delamere Forest is not far away with some excellent bike rides and other attractions. The town has its fair share of golf courses and fitness centres, as well as amateur cricket, rugby, hockey and football clubs. Chester Races and Oulton Park are popular, whilst Snowdonia is only an hour or so away.
